28 Feb #PGNO: Monday Nights Were Made for BBall Bonding
The Super Bowl may be over, but that just means it’s time to dive into basketball! Last night the Gang headed over to the TD Garden to watch the Celtics take on the Atlanta Hawks. The night started with a pizza party at Pepper Gang HQ, then a quick stop for a pre-game drink at The Harp. The Gang then headed over to the arena to enjoy some basketball…and of course a few more refreshments!
We had awesome seats, which were perfect for seeing all the action. After some musical chairs everyone got settled and were ready to watch. For a while the C’s and Hawks were tied and the game was going great, we even caught a glimpse of a freshly shaven Julian Edelman sitting courtside. At one point a few of us were talking about how football has much more physical contact and fighting, but we were quickly proven wrong more than a couple of fights broke out on the court. In another surprising turn of events, an Atlanta Hawks player got suspended from the game for holding onto the hoop for too long after he dunked #notsohumblebrag.
About halfway through the evening we were introduced to a rowdy, and self-proclaimed Celtics expert, who was determined to start the chant “hey Atlanta, thanks for the Super Bowl!” As catchy as that was, it might have been a bit too complicated for the crowd who was busy concentrating on the game! Toward the end of the night I think we were all hoping that the spirit of the Super Bowl would help turn things around, but that hope left the building shortly after JE11 made an early exit.
While we might not have won the game, we did have a great time! It’s always fun to get out of the office and get to know your coworkers in a different environment. Be on the lookout for more Pepper Gang outings in the future!
